CCO Chiangmai

Care Corner Orphanage - Chiang Mai
11th-20th Dec 2008

as an intro... on one of e days of pavement building.. whoever tells me buildin a pavement is a piece of cake, i will personalli bash up ur house tiles n u try doin it.

from the very 1st step into the orphanage, the joy of the children was apparent for all to see.
from starting out as mere strangers to dem and not knowin exactli how to handle dem, it ends almost as if they've alw been part of my life.

their sheer joy in juz havin the basics of companionship and love is sth tt commands respect.
In our society where tv, internet plays an impt role in our life, its esp refreshin to spend the 9 days w dem experiencin the basics of life.

some of their experiences in their young 10+ yrs of life surpass wad any of us will ever go thru.
the way they handle demselves say little about their young age. the happiness they find in labour & their responsibilities as a HIV carrier for some is amazing. (even as a carrier, they're more healthy and fit compareed to any of us)

I hope our 9 days made a difference to their lives & they certainli made a difference to mine.

erm, xxx(i forgot his name again) & wirat. wirat comes find me everyday at 2 pm sharp and shows me his hungry stomach for snacks.

she blows a balloon much better and bigger than any of us.

Pim - 6 yrs old. HIV +ve but so clever & vibrant. e 9 of us.

piggy bag joy.

us & e completed pavement we've built.

cam whore taksin and us lyin a gravel. cmon we're as cute as him.
limbo rock, one of e games we organzied for them. they're damn good.

seow & Pim

some of e kids with their face masks which we taught dem during one of e nite activities.

They touched my life, probabli more than i did to theirs.
